Dr. Stacey Jones completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Denver in 1996. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 2003 and was honored with awards in Clinical Anesthesia and Equine Medicine for her graduating class. After graduation, she completed a one year internship in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at New England Animal Medical Center in Massachusetts.
Stacey joined Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital immediately following her internship in 2004. More than ten years of practice at Caring Hands has brought her a deep gratitude for our wonderful clients and the talented, compassionate team she works with.
In addition to general medicine, Stacey continues to pursue her special interests in anesthesia, pain management, greyhound medicine and behavior. Actively involved with Colorado Greyhound rescue groups, Stacey considers caring for retired racers to be one of the highlights of her career. She is dedicated to making the hospital experience as positive and low stress as possible for patients and their caregivers by actively preventing and addressing fear and anxiety.
Stacey cherishes family time with her husband, Jason, and their two children, Emma and Brady. They share their home with two dogs, two horses, two chickens, a turtle, and a goldfish. She is grateful for weekly dinners with her immediate and extended family, and time away in the mountains for camping. Stacey also enjoys spending time with friends and practicing Brazilian jiu jitsu.
