Dr. Massey
Dr. Massey was born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth region of Texas. She always had dogs and cats growing up, and has rode horses since a young age, leading to a love and compassion for animals that started when she was very young. Dr. Massey also joined her local chapter of FFA in high school, where she showed sheep and competed on the Vet Med Career Development team. She also began working in a small animal clinic in high school as a kennel attendant and veterinary assistant. This inspired her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Veterinary Animal Science at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She then moved to Madison, Wisconsin to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin. While in her final year of veterinary school, Dr. Massey was certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy.
Dr. Massey enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, but is especially passionate about nutrition, surgery, and geriatric care. She plans to be certified in acupuncture in the future to expand the alternative therapies she can offer her patients.
Dr. Massey traveled frequently to Colorado growing up, and her family now lives in the state, so after graduating veterinary school she moved to the Denver area to start her career as a veterinarian. She is very excited to be living near the mountains and looks forward to a long career in the area. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, working out, playing disc golf, and jigsaw puzzles. She and her fiancé share their home with their three cats, Ammicca, Wussell, and A-a-ron.
Dr. Massey looks forward to meeting you and your furry family members!
